By using our website and services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase or booking a course.

1. General Information
This website is owned and operated by Illuminate Beauty Academy, located in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. By accessing or using our site, you agree to comply with these terms and all applicable laws.

2. Use of Our Website
You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to copy, distribute, or misuse any content, images, or materials found on this site. All content is owned by Illuminate Beauty Academyand protected by copyright laws.

3. Course Registration and Payment
*All course registrations must be completed through our official website or authorized representatives. Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated or agreed upon with the educator. Prices are listed in Canadian dollars.

*Costs for course kits are regulated by Alexandria Professional. Some courses have a specific kit and are not optional in that you must purchase that kit. You may add on products but you must purchase the kit set out by AP to take the respective course.

4. Refunds and Cancellations

5. Limitation of Liability

Refund & Cancellation Policy Regarding Alexandria Professional Classes

Course Registrations
All course registrations are confirmed once payment has been received. Spaces are limited, so please ensure you can attend before booking.

Cancellations by Participant
If you need to cancel your registration, please contact us as soon as possible.

Cancellations made more than 14 days before the course start date may be eligible for a partial refund, minus a small administrative fee.

Cancellations made within 14 days of the course start date are non-refundable, but you may transfer your registration to a future course date (subject to availability).

Failure to attend a confirmed training date will forfeit your training fees. However, fees are transferable with a minimum of 72 hours’ notice of inability to attend.

Cancellations by Educator
If a class is cancelled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, all pre-paid fees will be held and applied to a rescheduled class.
If an Educator is unable to attend, participants may choose to transfer their payment to a future class or request a full refund.

Practical Requirements
To receive certification, participants must complete all required practical components, including sugaring of the following areas: Full Legs, Underarms, Eyebrows, Upper Lip, and Basic Bikini.
Participants must have a minimum of 10 days’ hair growth and be prepared to act as both model and practitioner.

If a participant cannot be sugared, they must provide a pre-approved model who is available for all practical sessions.

Certification Policy
Participants must attend a Certification Assessment within 30 days of their 2-Day Advanced Sugaring Certification class to receive their certificate.

Product Purchase Policy

All participants are required to purchase a minimum product kit as outlined by Alexandria Professional®.

*Licensed professionals: Certified Salon Kit

*Additional participants from the same salon: Practice Kit

*Students of professional institutes: Student Kit
Any exceptions must be pre-approved by Alexandria Professional® Head Office through your educator.

Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

Course Policies

Practical Requirements
All students must participate as both a model and practitioner for all required areas to be sugared. Unless you are the only student in which case a model will be required.

Areas include: Full Legs, Underarms, Eyebrows, Upper Lip, and Basic Bikini. Participants must have a minimum of 10 days’ hair growth at the start of class. If a participant cannot be sugared, they must provide a pre-approved model who is available for all practical sessions. All model substitutes must be at least 18 years of age and approved by the Educator prior to class. Participants must not sunbathe or use tanning beds at least one day before and during training.

Certification Assessment
Following the 2-Day Advanced Sugaring Certification class, participants must complete a Certification Assessment within 30 days to receive their certificate.Failure to complete all required practical components or the Certification Assessment will result in non-certification.If a participant fails to attend their scheduled Certification Assessment, the included portion of the registration fee is forfeited.Rescheduling a missed assessment will incur a fee of $75 per hour, payable directly to the Educator (illuminate Beauty Academy).

Timeliness of Completion

Participants must complete their Certification Assessment within 3 months of their original training date. After this period, retraining is required, and the full course fee will apply.

Sanitation Policy
Participants are responsible for cleaning their workspace at the end of each day using Cavicide or available disinfectant. This includes garbage, bathrooms, beds, trolleys, and equipment.

General Policy

Participants must be licensed professionals in the beauty industry or registered students at a professional institute. Personal belongings are the responsibility of each participant. Class supplies and equipment must not be removed from the classroom. Disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the class at the Educator’s discretion. Any such incident will be reported to Alexandria Professional® Head Office for review.
